Agata Zubel

 Composer and vocalist, Zubel is equally at home in either role. She completed her studies in composition under Jan Wichrowski, and her vocal education under Danuta Paziuk-Zipser. As an educator, she works with her Alma mater, the Music Academy in Wrocław. Her compositions are performed on nearly every continent, and specialising in interpretations of music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, aside from her own works, her performance repertoire includes pieces by almost 50 composers. The premiere of her opera-ballet Between, directed by Maja Kleczewska on the boards at the Great Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw was one of the most important events of the concert season of 2009/2010.
