British producer, keyboard and saxophone player, born on the 17th of September 1959 in Bristol. He graduated from York University in classical music. In 1981 he embarked on his career as a studio and concert musician. He has recorded and performed with Peter Gabriel, Tori Amos, The Cure, Tears For Fears, Portishead and Paula Rae Gibson. Since 1999 he has been part of the synth-pop duo Goldfrapp, alongside vocalist Alison Goldfrapp. They have recorded 5 albums together: Felt Mountains (2000), Black Cherry (2003), Supernature (2005), Seventh Tree (2008) and Head First (2010). As a saxophone player he has performed with the Apollo Saxophone Quartet, London Sinfonietta, Michael Nyman and the psychedelic band Spiritualized. Last year, during the 8th Misteria Paschalia Festival, together with Adrian Utley, they performed poignant music to the 1928 silent film The Passion of Joan of Arc
